CSBox Tube CS Analyzer – BKP

Overview of CS Box Tube Analyzer

CSBOX Tube CS Analyzer is used to determine Carbon and Sulfur in Organic samples like coal, coke, fuel oils, soil, Waste samples, biomass and other organic samples.

Simultaneously it does Carbon and Sulfur determination with minimal sample preparation. It consists of two independent infrared cells with a wide measuring range of Carbon and Sulfur. The measuring range of each infrared cell is modified to the user’s specific requirement to ensure optimum measurement conditions for each application.

CSBox Tube is supplied with comprehensive user-friendly software which includes statistic reports, diagnostics features and other functions.

Unique user-friendly design of Sylab, where the furnace is isolated from the infrared analyzer to improve the life of the NDIR analyzer.

Theory of Operation

CSBox Tube CS / CSBox Tube S / CSBox Tube C is a computer controlled analyzer & a wide variety of samples can be determined, materials like coal, coke, oils, feed & biomass as well as few organic samples like, cement, soils & ash samples.

System uses high temperature combustion and non-dispersive infrared detection. Sample is weighed (generally 100 mg) into a ceramic combustion boat and placed in a pure oxygen environment where temperature is maintained at temperatures up to 1500 deg C.

Due to high temperatures and oxygen environment, the sample combustion will happen and the Carbon & sulfur / Carbon / Sulfur present in the sample material contained in the combustion boat forms Carbon Dioxide (CO2) & Sulfur Dioxide (SO2)  / Carbon Dioxide (CO2)  / Sulfur Dioxide (SO2). The design of the combustion tube stops entering the atmospheric gases to the combustion zone and vice versa.

Sample  + O2    Heat      CO2 + SO2 + H2O

The produced gases will be passed through Glass Tubes which are filled with Magnesium Perchlorate so that moisture in the combustion gases will be removed. By using with flow controller and suitable pump, the sample gases will be passed through Non Dispersive Infrared Detector.

Sulfur IR cell measures the concentration of SO2 gas & Carbon IR cell measures the concentration of CO2 gas. The CSBox Tube CS / CSBox Tube S / CSBox Tube C analyzer converts these values to percentages/ppm.

The CSBox Tube CS / CSBox Tube S / CSBox Tube C analyzer is capable to determine Carbon & Sulfur / Carbon / Sulphur in various samples.
