Hammer Mill

For Organic Samples by High Temperature Resistance Furnace

Overview of Hammer Mill

Hammer mill is suitable for coarse and fine size reduction, either in batches or continuously. It can process medium-hard and brittle materials and is easy to operate. It pulverizes small quantity of laboratory sample (up to 5 Kg/hour). A maximum sample size of -5 mm can be pulverized to – 212 micron. The Hammer Mill is usable in various industries and applications, including material processing in mining, mineral, chemical, food, cosmetic and construction industries.

Features

  • The coal sample to be crushed is introduced into the pulverizing chamber through a hopper.
  • The material travels through hopper and is uniformly delivered into the grinding chamber.
  • The rapidly rotating hammer’s centrifugal force disintegrates material by shearing action between the fixed toothed circular inserts and rotating hammer arms.
  • As particles get smaller than the size of underneath sieves, the material passes through the sieve mesh and gets collected in a stainless steel container.
